What is Markdown?

Markdown is a lightweight markup language that lets you format plain text using simple syntax — asterisks for bold, hashes for headings, dashes for lists. It is widely used in README files, documentation, blogs, and comment systems like GitHub, Reddit, and Stack Overflow.

How to Use the Markdown Previewer

Write or paste Markdown in the left editor — the preview updates live.
Use the toolbar buttons to insert common formatting.
Click Copy HTML to get the rendered HTML output.
Click Copy Markdown to copy the raw Markdown source.
Click Load example to see a full demonstration of supported syntax.
