Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Import Cookies browser extension and its companion website (devtulz.com/import-cookies) collect, why, and how it's protected. Import Cookies is built and operated by devtulz.com ("we," "us").

What the extension does

Import Cookies lets you export and import cookies for the active browser tab, so you can transfer or restore a browsing session. This core functionality is free and works entirely on your device — cookie data you export or import through the extension's basic features is never sent to our servers.

Premium feature: sharing cookies (paywall)

Import Cookies offers an optional paid Premium subscription (monthly or yearly, billed via Stripe) that unlocks the ability to share cookies with other people or your own other devices via a generated link. This is the only feature behind a paywall — importing and exporting cookies locally remains free and unrestricted.

When you use the sharing feature:

• Your cookie data is encrypted on your device (AES-256-GCM) before it ever leaves your browser. The decryption key lives only in the share link you generate — it is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Our servers store only the encrypted, unreadable ciphertext, plus a title, domain, expiry setting, and creation date for the share link. We cannot decrypt or read the cookie values you share.
• Anyone with the full share link (including its key) can decrypt the shared cookies. Treat share links like passwords.

Account data (Google sign-in)

Signing in (required only for the Premium sharing feature) uses Google OAuth. We receive and store your Google account's email address, display name, and profile picture, plus an internal account identifier, subscription status, and Stripe customer/subscription references needed to manage billing. We do not receive your Google password.

Payment data

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number or other payment credentials — Stripe handles checkout directly, and we only receive your subscription status and billing period.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to providing and improving Import Cookies.
• We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• The extension itself contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising code.

Website analytics

Pages on devtulz.com/import-cookies (such as sign-in and subscribe pages) use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and usage of those web pages. This applies only to the website, not to the browser extension itself. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account and subscription data for as long as your account is active, and shared-cookie links until they expire or you delete them from the extension's "My Shares" panel. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at [email protected].

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, hashed sessions, client-side encryption for shared cookie data) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but shared cookie contents are designed so that even we cannot read them.

Children

Import Cookies is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
